On May 23, the iQOO brand from vivo is set to launch its inaugural tablet, which has been confirmed to feature a 12.1-inch screen and will be powered by a Dimensity 9000+ SoC. Speculation suggests that it could be a vivo Pad2 variant with a different chipset, and recent evidence further supports this notion.
A live photo showcases the iQOO Pad alongside the vivo Pad2, revealing an identical design and the presence of the OriginOS 3 platform. Additionally, the tablet is shown to be compatible with vivo’s cover keyboard and stylus.
The image also discloses the memory configuration of the tablet, indicating that it will be equipped with 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of internal storage. Given that the vivo-branded tablet lacks a microSD slot, it is unlikely that the iQOO variant will offer expandable memory.
The tablet is expected to feature a substantial 10,000 mAh battery with support for 44W wired charging and 5W reverse wired charging. Other specifications include a 13 MP rear camera and an 8 MP front-facing camera suitable for video calls.
The vivo Pad2, in its 12/512 GB model, was released last month for CNY 3,399/PKR136769.46 (approximately $500). However, the iQOO Pad might aim to offer a more competitive price point compared to its vivo counterpart.
