In the previous year, the Honor 80 and Honor 80 Pro were released with the impressive 200 MP Samsung ISOCELL HP3 main camera sensor. However, these phones did not utilize the sensor to its maximum potential, as they downscaled the resolution to 160 MP for reasons unknown. This information has been revealed by Digital Chat Station, a well-known and prolific Chinese leaker. However, according to the same source, the next generation of Honor phones will rectify this situation.
Recent reports have indicated that the upcoming Honor 90 and Honor 90 Pro will feature the same main camera hardware as their predecessors. However, this time, the full 200 MP capability of the sensor will be utilized, as mentioned by Digital Chat Station.
The official announcement for the Honor 90 and Honor 90 Pro is scheduled for May 29th. The image above showcases the two devices, with the Honor 90 on the left and the Honor 90 Pro on the right. The Pro variant is rumored to be powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset and will feature a curved 1224p display, along with support for 90W fast charging. On the other hand, the Honor 90 will offer up to 66W fast charging.
