Sony released the Xperia Pro-I in late 2021, indicating that it’s about time for a successor in the series. According to a new rumor, the Japanese company seems to be actively working on just that. Leaked renders have emerged, allegedly showcasing the upcoming Xperia Pro-I II.
These images reveal the presence of two sizable cameras, leading to speculation that the device might come equipped with two 1.0″ Type sensors. In comparison, its predecessor featured a single sensor for the primary shooter.
But that’s not all. There are whispers that Sony is planning to introduce a smartphone in the future that will boast a “double-layer transistor stacked pixel sensor,” surpassing even the size of the 1.0″ Type sensor. However, it remains uncertain whether this particular sensor technology will be included in the Xperia Pro-I II.
