Yesterday, we were treated to some renders of the upcoming Motorola Razr 40 foldable smartphone. Today, thanks to renowned leakster Evan Blass (aka @evleaks), we have our best glimpse yet at its higher-end counterpart, the Razr 40 Ultra. Blass has shared official-looking renders of the device in all three colors.
These leaked renders not only confirm the phone’s name but also showcase its standout feature—the outer screen. It is notably larger than any other foldable device we’ve seen, occupying nearly the entire available space and even wrapping around the cameras and flash. The design is undeniably impressive, especially when compared to competing models in this category.
According to rumors, the Razr 40 Ultra is expected to be equipped with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. It may feature a main screen with a resolution of 1080×2640 pixels and a refresh rate of either 120 Hz or 144 Hz. The outer screen is rumored to have a resolution of 1056×1066 pixels. The device could offer storage options of up to 512GB and RAM configurations of up to 12GB. Additionally, it may house a 3,640 mAh battery with support for 33W charging.
In terms of cameras, reports suggest a 12 MP main camera utilizing Sony’s IMX563 sensor, accompanied by a 13 MP ultrawide camera using SK Hynix’s Hi1336 sensor. For selfies, there may be a 32 MP front-facing camera equipped with the OmniVision OV32B40 sensor. The phone is expected to launch with Android 13 out of the box, and the release date could be just a few weeks away, so stay tuned for further updates.
