Poco F6 Specs Update
Last year, Poco shook the market with its duo of ‘flagship killers’, the F5 and F5 Pro, with the former gaining significantly more traction due to its exceptional price-to-features ratio. This year, it appears that Poco is gearing up to introduce another dynamic duo, with the F6 Pro already making its way through the certification process.
Accompanying the F6 Pro will be a ‘vanilla’ non-Pro variant, tasked with the challenge of following in the footsteps of the highly successful F5. Reports suggest that the non-Pro F6 will be powered by the upcoming Qualcomm SM8635 chipset, which may be marketed as the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 or 8s Gen 2 upon its official unveiling in April.
Conversely, the F6 Pro is speculated to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, potentially sourced from the rumored rebranded Redmi K70. If these speculations hold true, it will be intriguing to observe the performance disparity between the two models, as the non-Pro variant could once again emerge as the more appealing option.
Internationally, the Poco F6 will bear the model number 24069PC21G, while in Asia, it will be identified as 24069PC21I. Interestingly, the upcoming Redmi Note 13 Turbo in the Chinese market shares a strikingly similar model number (24069RA21C), indicating a probable rebranding of the Poco F6.
Moreover, rumors suggest that the codename for the Poco F6 is “Peridot”, reminiscent of a yellow ruby, aligning with the gemstone-themed codenames typically associated with Redmi Note series devices. This serves as a speculative nod to the anticipated rebranding.
As we await further developments, it’s likely that following Qualcomm’s official announcement of the SM8635 chipset, numerous Chinese smartphone manufacturers will swiftly unveil new devices incorporating this technology.
