Recently, a Geekbench result surfaced, revealing that the Samsung Galaxy F15 5G will be powered by the Dimensity 6100+ chipset, identical to the one found in the Galaxy A15 5G. While both phones share many similarities, leaked teaser images suggest that there will be distinct differences between them.
One significant disparity lies in the battery capacity, with the Samsung Galaxy F15 5G slated to boast a hefty 6,000mAh battery, a notable upgrade from the A15’s 5,000mAh capacity. This aligns with last year’s Galaxy F14 5G, which the F15 is set to succeed. Additionally, the F15 is expected to support 25W charging via USB-C, ensuring rapid recharging capabilities.
Samsung has also committed to providing extensive software support for the Galaxy F15, promising users 4 OS updates and 5 years of security patches. This level of support exceeds that of its predecessor, the F14, which received only 2 OS updates and 4 years of patches, making the F15 an attractive option for budget-conscious consumers seeking long-term reliability.
The inclusion of the “Voice Focus” feature, a staple of the Galaxy A and F series since One UI 5.0, enhances call quality by filtering out ambient noise and emphasizing the voices of both callers, further enhancing the user experience.
Despite these differences, the Galaxy F15 5G is expected to retain many of the same features as the A15 5G, including a 6.5-inch FHD+ 90Hz display with a 13MP selfie camera housed within a notch. The rear camera setup is likely to consist of a triple-camera configuration, featuring a 50MP main sensor, a 5MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP helper. The base configuration is expected to remain consistent at 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, mirroring the specifications of the F14.
While an official confirmation is pending, rumors suggest that the Galaxy F15 5G could be unveiled soon, marking an exciting addition to Samsung’s lineup of budget-friendly smartphones. Additionally, Samsung is reportedly preparing a 4G version of the Galaxy F14, signaling further developments in its smartphone portfolio.
